I disagree. I think too much of Panther's story has been tainted now, and I fear that "race" plays an important factor in why it's so difficult to undo the damage right now. Prior to Hudlin, Wakanda was a country similar to WWII Japan, in that it had just undergone a massive and rapid modernization, so you had a society that had all these modern trappings but often still clung to "the old ways" (including some people that just plain hated the new things).
Hudlin ditched that, in favor of a country that's been much more advanced than everyone else since the Stone Age.
And it's my worry that any attempt to undo that would either get vetoed by people afraid it might be seen as racist to say "Wakanda wasn't that advanced until recently," or, more likely, writers just wouldn't bother to try.
Storm and Black Panther's marriage is an awful idea. Not just because it was so forced, but because it's so difficult to tell stories that play to the strengths of both characters. Much like Superman/Batman, you're more likely to get a book where the abilities of "B" are greatly exaggerated, until he's almost a caricature of himself, while "S" is weakened to make them more like equals. But I don't see an end to the marriage in sight, because who wants to kill either of them for any real period of time, or divorce the one major married black couple in comics?
I honestly don't think this one can be fixed short of a complete ground-up "Crisis on Infinite Earths" reboot, and I don't believe that's likely to happen. Hudlin has done something I wouldn't have thought possible, he has killed everything good about an entire comic franchise.
