he said that anyone who disliked his 9/11 tribute issue was a "basement dweller" who needed to "get a life"

I believe he only said that to the people who wondered why Marvel would make a fuss about 9/11 when all the other times NY has been destroyed/attacked in the comics. Not that it wouldn't have been better if he had been more polite, but his comments weren't directed to everyone who didn't like the issue.
