Her cover identity is the creative genius behind a successful tech startup. Being dumb would not serve it.</a>
Can't say I disagree with you here, I'm just hoping maybe that's the "logic" they're using. A lot of my enjoyment of this book...and this isn't one of those, "Guitar Hero isn't really playing instruments; hey, stop having fun," situations, I'm likely setting myself up for a fall...is the hope that this'll turn into an Empowered-lite, with more emphasis on the 'tween times at Starrware than the actual fighting. I flipped past the leet-speaking fear-bot pages and focused on the business scenes, because I'm not really interested in watching Power Girl hit things. I'm rambling here... I'd prefer she be more Woz than Jobs, or at least how the general public perceives those two, but or now, since it's not as horrible as Oracle's book...geez, DC's trained me to the point where I perceive "not horrible" as "good." Maybe something is broken in me.
Bevlin is clearly going to be her first rogue.
Then clearly I'm not going to bother buying this series. I really don't like Elevator Eyes McGoo, and if he's going to be the recurring genius, then it's probably better if I just don't bother at all. (I mean, as much as I would have preferred Bevlin as her chief scientist, I'd have accepted him as the lead researcher on some study to understand why humans fear change or something.) I can watch The Big Bang Theory for free if I have the urge to watch geniuses stare at women...though, I much more enjoy Sheldon and Penny's bickering.
