I wouldn't say he's trying to be Garth Ennis.

I'd say Mark Waid's trying to write something new (for him).

Now if rampant nudity and violence and swears come about, then we'll say it's Ennis. Oh, and sexual fetishes. You can't try to be Ennis without sex.
