Y'know, for all the fact that 'Batman and Sons' is FUNNY, I think my favorite moments are the bits that are serious, where Batman and his progeny stop squabbling and yelling at each other and just calm down for a while. It may have something to do with the drawing style - the simplicity of the artwork makes for excellent cartooniness in the funny scenes, but it also makes the serious moments that little bit more poignant, because there's nothing to distract from the point of the sequence. You're not going 'oooh, pretty!', you're seeing exactly what the artist intended to convey, stripped down of extraneous detail. It's very effective.
