I'm sure Mark Waid is a thoroughly lovely chap, that doesn't mean we can assume he's easy to work with if things aren't going his way. As I've said, we only have ONE side of this story.
And Dan Didio is the chap who (disgree with many of his choices though I do) was talked out of killing Nightwing, and championed, amongst others, the stealler TV series ReBoot, as well as comics like Tiny Titans and kept Blue Beetle and Manhunter going when sales would indicate otherwise. Yet the default setting for talking about him appears to be "Bring flaming torches, I've got the pitchforks"
I'm not really defending either side here, but the default setting that "Didio = evil/bad" irks me, and someone throwing stones from the safety of their new high tower safe in the knowledge that their target can't respond in kind just doesn't really impress me.
You complain about work to your family, or your friends, you don't broadcast rather whiny sounding personal attack to all and sundry. It's just plain... tacky.
