I both agree and disagree with you regarding 52.
Do I think it went on for too long? Yes. Do I think ten issues would've been enough? No.
I would've preferred the singular storylines to have been presented on their own -- Ralph's search for a way to revive his wife, Animal Man and company's trip, Black Adam's fall from grace, so on and so forth.
It felt padded, but they had to work a bunch of stories over a year, so I guess they're excused for it.
But not for Countdown. Though I miss Jimmy Olsen: Bugfucker. :(
