Maybe creatively but regrettably crossovers like 52, Countdown, and Final Crisis sell better than almost anything else, no matter how much people complain about them. If I remember correctly, the numbers for the Civil War miniseries itself, not necessarily the tie-ins, were as strong month to month as Spider-Man. I think we can't avoid the crossover-itis infecting the Big Two but we can demand better editing and less petty creative navigation.
