Poor Krypto is going to have bladder issues now. I hope you're happy Bizzaro.

OK, so the first is supposed to Apartment 3G like, and the second is clearly based on Buck Rogers, but what's the third supposed to be?

Also, Steel as a giant black man ant? And something that resembles good writing from Loeb?

Tim Sale brings out the best in Loeb, IMO. Plus it's tough to mess up with only four panels.

Personally, I think Sale's just one of the most brilliant turd-polishers I've ever seen.

I'm allowed to hate Sale? Because I ABSOLUTELY HATE sale. I almost didn't finish Long Halloween because of his art.

And no, I probably couldn't do much better. But it's nice to find someone out there who agrees with me...

I guess it's a matter of taste.

Wellll, what I said above was meant to be a somewhat backhanded compliment: praising Sale's ability to distract people from Loeb's shitty, shitty writing, hole-ridden plots, one-note characterizations, and clichetastic dialogue.

In truth, I actually do like Sale's work. Sometimes, a great deal. Sometimes, he gets a little too stylistic and grotesque for me. But that's not to say that I don't completely, totally, and utterly understand why you or anyone else wouldn't.

And just because you "couldn't do much better" in no way invalidates your taste nor opinion. Feel proud!

I think I didn't mind the actual story much, until the end turned into TWIST TWIST PARADIGM SHIFT MIND=BLOWN WHAAAAT.

There were single panels by him that I liked, but that was the problem: there was so little panel-to-panel continuity that it made an already muddy story even muddier. And chunkier.

More like Flash Ah, ah! Savior of the universe! Gordon? :)

They're similar concepts, and the "in the 7th millennium" recalls Buck Rogers rather than Flash Gordon.

Not Buck Rodgers, Flash Gordon.

hey guys, could i please ask for some help?

when we were on scans daily on livejournal, i had joined scans daily and i was getting ready to post something

well, since we got moved over here, i made an insane journal account, but i still don't know how to join daily scans officially and post stuff

maybe its actually really easy to do that, but i lack common sense, so if someone could give me some instructions here, i would really appreciate it

I bet you can figure out everything after step 1. I am just writing the rest for completeness' sake.

On the top of the page you will find the text

1. Click on the link "user info" above.

On the appearing page you will find the text

"Asylum Information

Below is information about the "Daily Scans" asylum on InsaneJournal. To join this asylum, click here. You may leave the asylum at any time."

2. Click where it says "Click here"

3. On the next page click the box "Join community"

4. On the following page click the box "Add"

5. Hopefully, you should get the message "Success scans_daily has been added to your friends list."
