Good point about certain movies being sitting ducks. I was struck by how Terry's ingredients didn't include any West, Burton, or even Nolan—though those gents probably contributed as much to the current cultural understanding of Batman as any of these fine comics creators.
I like your analysis of the jokes' timing. And it is amazing how expressive Terry's eyes can be. (Another reason he doesn't usually have to speak intelligibly.)
