About the Morrison bit. It's a joke, and it did make me laugh. You know, because it's got the set up of Bob Kane *elicits nostalgic happy thank-you for creating him (along with Bill Finger)*; Denny O'Neil !!! (Thank you, Black Cat!) *elicits feelings of awesome happy for me...*
Then Bam! The One-Two punchline. Unexpected and a bit naughty. I mean that it's controversial to criticize the current writer of Batman. And, along with Miller, the two biggest current influences on the character and his universe at the moment. Which makes it funnier. Coupled with Baby Terry who always makes me smile, anyway, his little incredibly expressive face is fantastic. So much expression in a masked, pacifier-using baby is phenomenal.
I was thinking about the Morrison punchline, and Black Cat could have gone for something we absolutely all agree on, like the Batman and Robin movie that we don't mention around here. You know, the one with Clooney and O'Donnell.
99% of the people who read this webcomic would agree that they also do not care for that movie, but that would not have made me laugh out loud.
I also like way each panels ingredients are grouped by era. As said upthread, the details are wonderful.
