One thing Kesel would often do in that series was have all these funny bits, then pull the rug out from under us with a moment that showed how psychotic these people were. There's one really nice moment with Jewelee, in the issue where Harley's throwing a housewarming party, and the bad girls are playing Truth or Dare. Jewelee is comedic through most of the story, a silly chatterbox who's getting increasingly drunk, so when it's her turn to answer a question... Harley asks her if she loved a guy before she met Punch. Jewelee did, and talks about her first great love. She rambles a bit, and concludes her story with "So, I killed him."
