I've read some of 'Deep Fried' before - I can't say I care for it all that much. 'Weapon Brown' is indeed clever, but the guy has a dark, deeply twisted sense of humor that I just don't connect with. The strip - I forget its name - that deals with the little girl with the messed-up life is one of the saddest 'humor' strips I've ever read, and I don't mean 'saddest' as in 'pathetic', I mean saddest as in SAD - deeply, gutwrenchingly sad. The one particular episode I remember was where her imaginary friend got frightened away by her abusive dad and didn't want to play with her anymore - I nearly damn well cried right there in the comic book store. I don't mind dark humor, but the emphasis has to be more on the 'humor' than the 'dark' for me to find it funny.
