The Cover to Blackest Night #1
From the DCUBlog article

And the Hall of Lanterns, when the concept of the War of Light was first introduced way back, as the Sinestro Corps war ended.

Does anyone remember where this room is, and who was in there watching it all unfold?

The page with the Spectrum were the Zamarons if memory serves. The same time they realized the love crystals were too unstable and they shifted to using rings.

If we can have covers like that, we ought to be able to have nude bodies. Nude male bodies in particular, because most female superheroes aren't wearing enough to count as clothes, anyway.

What's wrong with that cover? Poor Director Bones spat out some kool-aid, that's all!

That's forgetting the insane stigma applied to sex that isn't as strong against violence.

Heh! I'm in! New spectrum with rings that are transparent, and costumes that are there -- but invisible to the human eye.

"Hal Jordan of Sector 2814. You have been selected to become the Ultraviolet Lantern."

You know, that cover reminds me of the Goonies.

So...judging from that cover, everybody agreed on the fact that the Big Bad behind the Black Corps is Nekron, yeah?

Yeah, most people will be totally "Who?" But I suspected there was a reason they were reprinting TALES OF THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS a couple months back. Really, for people who know old-school GL, there's no one else who could be behind this.

That said, I'm still waiting for the mind-blowing twist that'll rival the first issue of SINESTRO CORPS. Black Hand, Nekron, zombie Earth-2 Superman... who else? Who's gonna be the surprise pants-shittingly-shocking character?

Before Final Crisis #7, I was really hoping it would be Batman.

I'm just surprised that DC has a blog. Then I wonder why a skull would have blood in its teeth.
