From Gambit vol 4 #10, John Layman on writing, and Georges Jeanty on pencils

A little context: Kitty has caught three of her students trying to steal the answers to an exam, and in a fit of "wisdom", she has decided that Gambit should help straighten them out.

Gambit, however, is a bit preoccupied with getting a disc starring him in a rather... lets call it compromising position with another woman that a girl who has a crush on him sent to Rogue.

Our hero decides to combine these two missions, thus giving this trio of miscreants a real education in the process. Such as how to climb walls...

.... and clear the room of telepaths

And we also get a look at Young Remy, which is the main reason behind this post.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to kick the tags until they do what I tell them to.

Poor Max. At least you got to see some boobs before dying.

I like this art. It's not too detailed, but it is very pretty.

Yikes, given the costumes (or lack of them) I dunno how a 12 year old boy would make it through that school.

Perfect material for a Claremont X-title then, no?

I don't know if anyone in this comm. watches the E4 show "skins" but there is a ten year-old brother to two hot twins. He constantly steals their underwear and peepholes them in the shower. Imagine this with mutant powers...

Or a 12-year-old girl, for that matter. Unrealistic body images, anyone?

But it's been pretty much proven that the X-Men are the last people you should hang out with if you want to live to legal drinking age, let alone with mind and body intact.

At least Emma teaches you that you too can look like her if you have the cash.

Maybe , but all the people who I know that had surgery, didn't improve. It just looked fake ...like plastic surgery. It doesn't age well.

I'm gonna call foul on that - Kitty wasn't of legal age when she joined, and she is now. (Uh, I think - how old is she now, anyway?)
I like how Gambit is portrayed here. It addresses one of the more interesting aspects of his character, in that he is a rascally thief amongst a group of (mostly) otherwise upright and outstanding individuals. And he is not above taking advantage of this fact. Who were those kids, anyway?

See, this is the kind of story Gambit was made for. None of this epic angst malarkey.

Still. It's Gambit and I'm not annoyed, even enjoying this. Thanks for that.

I refuse to believe that former White Queen of the Hellfire Club Emma is THAT easily shocked, nor that she wouldn't see Gambit's little mental image as the desperately obvious diversionary tactic that it is.

In all fairness though, Remy's shown resistance to telepathy in the past. So if she can't get surface thoughts outta him, then she's got no reason to dig any deeper.

Yes, but if she knew what Gambit was doing, she'd have to do something about it.

So, she can either read Gambit's mind and spend all of her non-Sentinel-fighting time curtailing him, or she can read the new biography of Cole Porter and spar with Rachel.

I think we can all see the right choice there.

Haha, this is hilarious, thanks for posting!

I keep seeing that kid with glasses as Millhouse...

Oh and when I saw Iceman just hanging there I went "Really Bobby? That's like Reed being tied by ropes on the first FF cover. You can ice slide down! Don't be worthless." Then again Avalance probably made that thing just seconds before trying to smash or throw him away.

"Trust me, things are only gon' get better." Unless you get killed.
