Spider-Man vs. Disco: The Rematch

If that panel of Luke Cage introducing himself doesn't pique your interest, then nothing I can say will.

Is that a... Hypno Hustler reference? Also, that seems a bit OOC for MJ. I mean... look at that guy!

Truman Capote, a Sinatra reference, and color-coordinated outfits for a nightclub robbery. Damn. I mean, God, you'd think robbing a disco joint would spare your dignity, but no, purple vests, green danceskins, bracelets, AND pantyhose masks. Something is deathly wrong when you find yourself wanting for the quiet, understated fashion of Luke Cage.

I love that middle sequence. That's how you make an entrance.

	I love early Byrne/Austin but is this really Terry Austin? The line looks a bit heavier, more "brush". Almost Bob Wiacek or Joe Rubinstein. And, by the way, MarvelShaft is looking FIERCE in that suit. (Actually, I thought I'd read all the issues from this era but this isn't ringing a bell. What issue is it?) (Reply to this) (Parent)
