George Perez art I guarantee most of you have never seen...
...or at least that would be an accurate subject heading if this were any other community. But since this is scans_daily, it might just not be true.

Be forewarned: While what's under the cut is safe for work, some of the links are NOT.

These are portraits Perez drew of various women who star in fetish videos, where they dress up as superheroines and wrestle. The first three are from colorist Tom Smith's website, the last is from the deviantart page of someone associated with FetishCon.

The company that produces the videos explains how Perez wound up involved with them here. The page itself is safe for work, but some of its links, to other parts of the site, aren't. If you don't want to risk it, here's the essential part of what it says:

George's involvement with DT stretches back almost 15 years as one of the company's earliest regular customers. One fateful day in 1998 George finally decided to commission a custom match featuring Super Maiden and Amazon Queen (which was released as part of DT-372). He was so impressed by the rough cut that he immediately wrote a script for a return engagement for the heroines, this time confronting a new villainess named Darkraven in DT-380.

Then, he wrote another, then another — and another — and the Sisterhood of Superheroines series was born, each new story pushing the entertainment and excitement envelope ever further. This series has become one of the most successful series in Double Trouble history.

But this was more than just a professional collaboration. The more the folks at DT and George got to know each other, the more we fell in love and the more we wanted to do for one another. In addition to supervising, scripting and occasionally directing the SoS series, (and providing illustrated portraits as gifts to our heroines), George has generously volunteered to write all the match descriptions for our bi-monthly mailers and web updates, to catalogue all our tapes according to categories and to collate them by which girl appears in them.

Why would an artist of George's stature do all this — especially for free? George explains, "I've been a fan of female combat since my adolescence and DT Productions has always satisfied my specialized tastes. In addition to that, the people who work there are among the nicest, the most loving, the most generous people I could ever hope to meet. They are my friends, my new family, and DT is like a second home. I hope to be involved with DT Productions for as long as they will have me."

Perez also contributes to another similar site:

The rest of his work for that site can be found here, but I'll refrain from putting any up because they're adult in nature, as well as deeply, deeply disturbing. Unless you have a stomach for truly bizarre kink, don't click. And even if you do have the stomach, you might wanna reconsider.

And yet, still less weird than Alan Moore. Sorry, George Perez, but your beard is of insufficient might.

And also, less perverted than Chris Claremont. Up your game, Perez! UP IT!

That's a little kinky, sure, but Claremont usually throws in some tentacles, mind control, and fetish gear on top of the bondage and homoeroticism. And that's just in X-Men.

True, if there's no mind control and the victim doesn't discover they actually like the freedom of complete submission, it's not Claremont! :)

I only know there is this persistent rumor about Claremont and prostitutes dressed like Storm. And you don't want to know what he does with them. Seriously, you don't.

The field certainly attracts more than its fair share of strange, strange people, 'tis true. (Which is one of the reasons why I want to work in it, as I too am a strange, strange person.)

It really could be worse...there are a LOT of superheroine fetish sites out there, most of which make this one look completely tame...he could be a fan of/contributor to one of THOSE. >_>

It's not really an issue of "tame" or "not tame;" if that were the case, come back and talk to me when you've got quasi-bestiality futanari where Raven's pegging Beast Boy and maybe I'll blink. It's more the mundane but unsettling stuff that I'd rather not associate with a guy I idolize. That one rape fantasy pic is going to haunt me (mild by such standards though it may be).

Some of that is certainly close to the edge, but as long as it's in the realms of pure fantasy, and not, say, Britney Spears being molested by Eminem or something, I have less of an issue.

Given my own... preferences I'm perhaps not the best to give an unbiased opinion, but I know that what I can enjoy featuring unreal people, I know I couldn't remotely stomach if it involved real, innocent, people.

The work doesn't bother me. It bothers me when the creator gets involved in it.

Kinda like that series of videos called Girls Gone Wild. They're fine UNTIL the guy starts talking and sticking his face in the picture. Then it's gross.

Like that story of Kirkman where he said he was excited to write Jubilee because she had nice tits. ::sigh::

You can choose to look at it this way: In a way, doesn't this make Perez's work on Wonder Woman more admirable? Here's a man who's heavily into all of this kinky stuff, working on Wonder Woman of all characters, and yet he had the professionalism and talent to never let it intrude into the stories once.

Meh. This is the internet; that only really qualifies as mildly wierd.

I mean heterosexual man likes attractive, scantily clad women getting 'physical' with each other, with bondage overtones. Call the papers!

Once you've seen porn of dragons raping cars, this sort of stuff barely registers a 2 on the bizarrometer.

I didn't see anything more than a bit of light bondage - have I missed something? I don't want to sound like some sort of connesseiur of pornography or anything (although I could probably play one on TV), but this is all way tamer than the Stalin stuff that's been cropping up here recently.
