Blackest Night: February Previews
I know this image is meant to be all scary and whatnot, but this is scans_daily, where we find the "so wrong" in everything. Sure enough, Blackest Night offers some unwanted innuendo.

IGN has the previews.
One stuck out in particular.

One images from the preview.

BLACKEST NIGHT: JSA #3

On sale February 24 - 3 of 3 - 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US
Written by James Robinson - Art and cover by Eddy Barrows & Nei Ruffino -Variant cover by Gene Ha

The bloodthirsty combat in Manhattan reaches its stunning conclusion here! Earth-2 Superman returns to prove that the true legacy of the Justice Society of America is death. Can our heroes rise up to defeat their dead mentors, role models and villains? And can even the third- smartest man in the world, Mr. Terrific, devise a way to destroy them - or will Manhattan and the world perish under Nekron's might?

Translating the above, this is what happens when the hero of the 40's and 50's sees some interracial action going on.
Now, is that milk or ..... ?

I present to you to the happiest words one can see. Kreisberg isn't writing the Green Arrow/Black Canary Blackest Night tie-in. (I actually know enough about JT Krul to expect him to be better than Kreisberg.)

It's top secret. Given recent events, Everyman, Brick, or Big Game I would be good candidates. (Yes, I know they're claiming Everyman isn't dead in recent issues. I'm assuming that a clone of Everyman.)

Alternatively, there's possibly some remnants of Ollie's original body out there.

Ahahaha. The Everyman corps FTW.

That said, if they pulled off the "Original Body" thing in Doom Patrol, they could pull it off with Ollie too.

The body Ollie occupies is NOt the original he had right? I'll bet it's the dead Ollie body. Just like they used Robot Man's dead human corpse.

It kinda is. Hal Jordan as Spectre pulled what was left of it together and reformed his body.

Ollie's body is a good one, but I'd say that both Ollie and Dinah's parents are strong contenders. They're all dead, after all. At the very least, Dinah Drake Lance (Black Canary 1) is likely. They do seem to target dead heroes and villains first.

I don't really get the feeling Ollie was that close to his parents.

Dinah, however, was, so her parents are a good choice. Dinah the Elder could really play the BL game to the hilt, since Dinah took her code name.

Yeah, Ollie's parents died when he was young, and unlike Bruce and Dick I don't think he witnessed it. But I would imagine he would at least have some sort of reaction to his parents becoming BLs. Probably more than his own corpse, since Ollie never angsted about his new body the way Robotman did.

Oh, no doubt they could get a reaction, I just don't think it'd be strong enough for the Black Lanterns to bother.

Well, if they want an emotional reaction, I would think the best choice would be along the lines of Joanna Pierce, and other people whose deaths Ollie regrets and feels responible for.

You mean the guy he killed in the Longbow Hunters? That'd be interesting, Black Canary is freaking out because its the guy who strung her up and the Current Oliver Queen will be wondering who this guy is and why he's saying "You killed me".

Ollie's got all his memories back, yeah. I think there's even been a few moments where Ollie is talking about his past that show him remembering events from Longbow Hunters.

Classy of DC to choose Black History month to prominently display one of their black heroes beaten and bloodied on a cover.

His first ring was destroyed or driven away. So the body probably decomposed further or suffered some damage when the second/original ring came by to reanimate him again.

Power Girl has been fighting back before the scene on the cover, and Kal-L hasn't regenerated yet?

It looks to me like it's been freeze breathed and struck. Since Kal's hand is on PG's throat, I figured maybe he did that to stop the breath and the damage just occured, possibly by Mr. Terrific.

But that's probably too much analysis for a cover. He's probably like that because the artist thought it would look good.

The hell...? Half of the covers are blacked out. I thought we had gotten over this stupid, attention grabbing, retailer screwing nonsense after Marvel did those "classified" solicits after Civil War.
Please people, you're not fooling anybody.

Ironically, the one cover that actually does spoil a running storyline is not blacked out.
