These combos as of late have been odd I have to say but not really out there as I'd hope, I mean Etrigan has popped in so many titles before seeing him with Aquaman isn't as odd as one would think.

Though that Joker and Atom team up will certainly be interesting since Joker's team ups always are.

Etrigan and Aquaman go together like blood and water.

To be fair, you'll have to try hard to beat the Booster Gold-Magog team up.

I wonder what condescending moral lesson JMS has in store for us this time. Save our oceans?

Humans dumping in the oceans are bad. But the US dumping demons in the water is even worse. :D

The last two issues have been somewhat preachy, with the HERO/Batman issue having a family unfriendly Aesop of "It's alright to kill somewhat if they get a chance to redeem themselves first" and the second having the Aesop of "The military are true heroes."

[info]icon_uk

Except that wasn't the message of the HERO one. A guy found salvation through his own actions, and a kid found he didn't want to die.

Yeah, it requires a great deal of twisting to go from "boy doesn't stop redeemed criminal from choosing to die heroically saving lives" to "killing is OK".

To keep the Elder Gods sleeping, Aquaman needs Etrigan help finding rhymes for the lullaby.

And by "strangest", you clearly mean "most awesomest". This is exactly what The Brave & The Bold is supposed to be in my opinion, completely insane nonsense from all over the DCU that would never happen in any of the regular books in a million years.
Brother Power The Geek is in one of the next issues, for crying out loud.

Based from what I read from this comm, that's the usual at DC.

Hmmm... I'd say that the strangest team-up still has to be Spider-Man and the original Saturday Night Live cast. But it is a pretty cover.

Also fun, but technically not a team-up, as they just appeared on his show; Spider-Man and the Not-Ready-For-Prime-Time Players actually fought the Silver Samurai and his minions.

My fav. so far was the Batman-Jay Garrick/flash issue. I wish it had lasted longer. They come to the hero biz from such different angles, but it worked SO well.

That is a gorgeous cover.

But no, I like the concept of "Brave and Bold", since yeah, the point seems to be to take pairings that would never otherwise happen, and go to town with them. I've enjoyed the majority, and I bet I'll love this one too.

Not in any world where Batman once teamed up with the House of Mystery. Also, Punisher/Archie. Just saying.
