I like seeing rough concept art. I'm glad he doesn't have the bowl cut anymore, or this would be more ridiculous.

Are those little sharp points on his boots?

He hasn't had the bowl cut for a long while.

That's so the asses don't slide off the tip of his boot as he's kicking them.

"Find out in Green Lantern Corps #42 (on-sale November 11th) as Guy Gardner experiences a tragedy so utterly terrible that he loses complete control in Green Lantern Corps #43 (December on-sale) leading to his selection by a red ring of rage"

I may be misjudging the character, correct me if I am, but...it really doesn't seem like Guy would need a huge amount of provocation to become a Red Lantern.

Seriously. This "utterly terrible tragedy" could just be someone cutting in front of him at Mcdonalds.

Hell, I'm surprised it took this long for him to get a red lantern ring.

Maybe he just shows up at 10:45 wanting an Egg Mcmuffin.

Or Dick takes him out with one punch.

Yeah, I was gonna say, what I like most about this is that Guy Gardner becoming a Red Lantern really DOESN'T REQUIRE THE CHARACTER TO CHANGE IN ANY WAY. It'd be like if I was made the MILF-Hunter Lantern of Earth sector; you wouldn't even NEED an origin story.

When they were showing Black Lantern vision on Oa there was one red spot lit up representing rage. And it wasn't that Red Lantern who was let loose a few issues ago.

I want to like Red Lanterns. I want to see them as bad ass villains. But looking at how they fight, I can't help thinking of them as big evil toddlers with death spit up. Vomiting blood? Really?

Oh, Guy. We all knew that this was coming. Luckily, Ice will redeem him. Or be killed by him, snapping him back to his senses. WHICH BETTER NOT HAPPEN, IS ALL I'M SAYING.

Or Ice dieing will be what sets him off in the first place. Really, what else could do it? This is supposed to be special rage, not just his normal rage.

It makes sense though. I mean, what is the angriest thing you can do to someone? Spit in their face.

SO EXCITED FOR THIS.

I REALLY hope that Kyle dies to set Guy off. Just so it's not so predictable. As much as I love the boy, it'd be awesome. They can always bring him back at the end of the event.

If I wanted to watch Gardner throwing up all the time, I would've wanted him to remain at Warrior's.

I question if Guy Gardener will work as a mindless, snarling, rage machine and not the obnoxious, sexist, smart ass we all know and love
