I'm more of the opinion that Countdown was the "Worst Waste of Paper Ever Printed On" but your title fits too. Come to think of it considering how many characters were totally wasted/destroyed/made ridiculous during Countdown (including Jason) I wonder who will be the first writer post-Blackest Night who will make mention of it again. Maybe Giffen - but only to mock it. Morrison ignored it. Johns told people "don't worry about it and move on" on Rip Hunter's chalkboard (and Grant and Geoff are more in creative control of DC these days than Didio IMO) and even the writers/creators who were involved in it never mention it. Paul Dini was the head writer and master planned that crapfest and I haven't seen him say squat about it since it the critical reviews started coming in. He certainly never references it in his Batman work.
