Well, there was SOME stigma attached. The Greeks were thought to have worked on a penetrative model of sexuality. Certain people were 'penetrators', others were penetrated (girls, women, boys, etc...). A citizen male who allowed himself to be penetrated was debasing himself, at least according to some literature. What was the ideal and what was actually practiced are likely two very different things.
