True that. The great thing about the JLA at that time was that the writers really understood the characters. They knew what made each person unique, what their strengths and weaknesses were, and how they would react to a situation.
One of the most disappointing things to me today is when I read comics where Kyle still has issues getting out from under Hal's shadow. Because I remember following along with him in Morrison's JLA as he gained confidence and finally got over that complex.
