I like it when heroes don't just automatically go 'ha-cha-CHA!' when confronted with a beautiful woman, but instead feel just a tad bit awed and apprehensive, as any heterosexual male with a regular ego would feel. ('Holy crap, she means ME. She's coming on to ME. Oh man, oh man... something's going to go wrong. I KNOW something's going to go wrong. Women that beautiful don't come onto a shmuck like me without something going wrong. There'll be spinach on my teeth... a zit will spontaneously come into existence... LIFE DOESN'T GET THIS GOOD WITHOUT SOMETHING GOING WRONG!!') Humility makes a character relatable.
