Kind of sucks to be Ray Palmer. Good thing I prefer Ryan Choi.

Oh, and as for the question, "What is Nekron?"

A: A really cheesy name.

How creepy!

Though there's something about Nekron's scythe that bugs me. The blade seems bent too far to be used as anything but for show. Unless he used the other side and just clubbed people with it instead of trying to use the blade at all.

(Yes, I know, Rule of Cool, and I'm thinking into it too far. Still!)

Scythes are impractical weapons to begin with. They're farming tools for harvesting, but that's where the imagery comes into to play since death is the harvester of souls.

I don't think the blades impractical, I can see someone with decent amount of super-strength wielding such a weapon.

It's like, circular! You'd have to get someone into the center of it somehow for it to be at all useful . . .

Is that still the skull of Bruce Wayne Black Hand is carrying around? And has there been any official word yet on what role does it play in the plans of the Black Lanterns? Haven't read this issue yet if it was in it. Just curious as I had an idea, but it's hard to fit avarice to Bruce, unless they're going the obsession route.

I don't remember if it was explicitly stated, but I think the idea was that they're picking his dead brain for knowledge on capes.

Even if she didn't die before she could have died off panel by the hands of another Black Lantern.

Considering that Jean got eaten by a shark as a cause of death, isn't she basically re-animated shark shit now?

hmm, shark shit, shark shit, shark shit,....(heh, can't stop repeating that phrase, quite catchy)

And Osiris was eaten by an anthropomorphic crocodile. So we have two Black Lanterns that are walking piles of shit and one Black Lantern that is a candle.

I'm left cold about the new look Nekron is sporting. Old one worked much better, thank you very much.

Looks like, based on that last line, that they're going to finally get into the whole DC afterlife and revolving door of death thing.
