They weren't ON DISPLAY, per se. They were in a morgue-type vault, kinda like on Torchwood. You couldn't just wander in and stare at the bodies. I think they moved them there because of some supervillain body part theft plotline going on in the Nightwing title, and he had Superman and the rest move the bodies to keep them from getting defiled.
