This isn't bad.

Sigh... another superhero marriage down the tubes for cheap drama...

Mal and Karen were a fun couple, I'd be much more interested in seeing them dealing with their wierd shit as a couple, rather than divorce offpanel.

Eh... we got enough Titans couple drama between Beast Boy and Raven. So I'm rather glad all of the Vox and Bumblebee drama occurred off panel.

I love this series and it amuses me to no end that Bumblebee lives in a doll house.

Well, I must say, the concept of a sentient black hole that possesses people's bodies and absorbs their information out of curiosity is fairly unique - at any rate, I've certainly never come across it before.
I continue to be annoyed by the Hannibal Lecter-ish Chief, but it seems this is par for the course, unfortunately. Anyone who wants to bring back the idealistic Chief of yore is going to have to do some massive character reconstruction.

I want to like this, but after three issues of it, I'm considering dropping it. The cast is thoroughly unlikeable. The 'sentient black hole' idea isn't bad, but it's SO BORING. For all they've done, the Doom Patrol could have just sent a couple of mannequins to let the 'first scientist' just blather on and on and on and then kill over 110,000 people.

Couple that with the bleak tone (look Mento's helmet is actually a defense mechanism, but that's OK, he's also a mind-raper. And Doc's cool with that, as long as he does his job and mind-controls Rita on command. It's not badly written, I just don't enjoy it at ALL. Maybe it's just not to my taste, I guess.

... Heh. I must be slow as hell, because I just realized:

She has a beehive hairdo.

...that being said, I miss the Brotherhood of Dada. And the Archons of Nurnheim.
