I'm not measuring him by my standards, here. I'm measuring him by his. I'm giving him more leeway here than he gave, oh, I dunno, Helena during No Man's Land, or Steph when he fired her, or Diana when she killed Max. You want to demand that everyone around you be perfect beyond actual human possibility, you damn well better be completely fucking perfect yourself. You don't think a Robin can cut it if she lets her justified concern drive her actions, you don't get to let your unjustified hurt feelings drive your actions, especially when she was doing something good and you're doing something childish, stupid and petty. You don't think a Batgirl can cut it if she can't fight off an entire city by herself and expect her to take responsibility for that failure, you don't get to duck responsibility for failing to save two people at once from one problem. You don't get to condemn a friend for doing "too much harm" in stopping the bad guy in order to save the world and then turn around and abuse a good guy for no reason other than your own selfish immature satisfaction.
If Batman wants to even pretend he has the right to maintain those standards with his allies, he needs to keep them the hell up his own damn self.
