Okay, so someone explain to me what's going on here. I dropped New Warriors a few issues back.

Let me see if I get this straight: Nick Fury isn't afraid to kill members of HAMMER...people who used to work for him at SHIELD, for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He has no problem gladly racking up collateral damage amongst anybody who happens to be near an objective he wants, because you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette.

But he can sneak into Norman Osborne's secret HQ and doesn't put a bullet in HIS head because.....WHY? How does killing a bunch of dupes who aren't necessarily doing anything but unwittingly working for HYDRA...you know, the way that NICK FURY APPARENTLY WAS FOR FIFTY YEARS, but doesn't see any value in killing the Green Goblin, who is actively and directly threatening America's freedoms?

Why is no one laughing at the absurdity that these grown men are one-upping each other via tiny sheets of paper?

I love the juxtaposition of how bad-ass Nick Fury is acting as he holds up his mini grocery list. This should happen more often in comics, when authors plain take the PISS out of characters without making it overt.

Scans Daily, why can't you appreciate absurdity in mainstream comics anymore? :(
