Which in itself is pretty much a thing of its time, unfortunately. There used to be some great friendly team-ups in comics, back when you could count on the fact that they WERE just friends, and nobody was going to try and bring another *ahem* element into the formula that would complicate things unnecessarily. Mandrake and Lothar, Modesty Blaise and Willie Garvin, Tintin and Captain Haddock, the Spirit and Ebony... I think it's a shame that these have largely fallen by the wayside, simply because society will no longer accept that, yes, something CAN be as simple as it seems to be. One of the only ones left is Batman and Robin, and look where THAT one is at the moment.
