If Winick writes him, I'll geek out with joy. If Morrison continues like this, I'll be really happy, because it seems like Dick gives a damn but is cautious, which is how it really should have been from day one.
I don't know if Winick will get the chance to write him, since the brain trust at DC has decided Tony Daniels should be writing the Batman book. Yeaaaah. I mean his art's great, but his writing... UGH.
Also, did you notice it seems like Morrison is ignoring the whole "shot Damian in the chest thing"? That's at least the impression I got.
I'm glad Morrison was looking forward to writing Jason. He's a complex character and I just recently re-read BftC. It was so incredibly cliche and over the top. I mean, Daniels pretty much turned Jason into a one-note villain with barely any complexity. Why? Anti-heroes are so much more fun.
Oh, I agree, totally enjoying Scarlet so far. When I read a reviewer say they'd love to see a mini of Red Hood based on the interaction between him and Scarlet alone, I thought that was absolutely kick-ass. I hope it happens (and Winick writes it?! Maybe!?!)
