Y'know -- and I'm not talking about you -- but before New Avengers I seem to remember a lot of people saying things like "I'd love to see a comic where the characters just interacted in the Avengers Mansion", which is something that Bendis does well. But now the complaints are "That's all the DO!"
If I have one criticism of decompressed storytelling it is that it gives the naysayers much longer to pick apart the tiny beats in a story -- again I'm not talking about you, just using your comment as a way to jump into my rant. Sorry.
It's the same thing with Teen Titans. A person's favorite character is bitchy for awhile, because of things outside of the TT writer's hands, and he's automatically the Anti-Christ.
