Re: Not Batman, but since we're talking superheroes and class
Sorry, I hang out at ontd_political a bit too much*g*
And I utterly agree with you on plumbing being a very good and very well paid job. (read up on Joe the Plumber though in regards to the 2008 US presidential elections and you might agree with me*eg*)
Thing is, I think that Peter should be able to get a job that he can do from home. You know, if they let him have a computer and maybe do something freelance. You're right that having him win a Pulitzer would be too much, but it would be nice if they at least were willing to admit again that he's a damn good photographer, these days it seems they won't even give him that much credit.
I just feel that they're not writing him as someone who does all that much if any effort in getting a job. Or like with his roommate, in that he doesn't even seem to be paying his part of the rent (I don't buy the issues, so I can't be sure on that)
Or like when he lived with aunt May (in BND), it was written as if he were taking advantage of her, instead of like it used to be, where Peter was taking care of her, from when he was fifteen and on.
I guess I just miss him being a hero. Sorry if that sent me into a bit of a rant.
