I love how soullessly mercenary this whole "Female Force" line is. It pays lip service (ha) to feminism, while at the same time offering no more insight on, or respect for, its subjects than any checkout line paperback. It's such a blatant fucking cash-grab, because if they had any sort of consistent ideology behind "what constitutes a positive female role model," then there's no way that the same people who published titles about Hillary Clinton and J.K. Rowling would do the same for Sarah Palin and Stephenie Meyer (or vice versa, depending on their politics).

If enough people lobbied them strongly enough, I seriously believe they'd publish a "Female Force: Nina Hartley" title.
