Wonder Woman #36 preview
I thought her time with Dinah would've taught her the need to go out and have a beer.
Newsarama has the preview for Wonder Woman #36

The first part of the preview sets up the internal struggle within Diana. Which leads to this.

Must be some good eggs. I know a few places along the Marin County coast that boast eggs worth getting beat up about.

This might be a set up for Diana to have a heart to heart with Giganta over breakfast about men. Would be interesting, given that time Diana interrupted Giganta's last date.

Already posted here yesterday, I'm afraid.

I really dislike this scene.

WW has a Giganta, a serial offender, cornered in an isolated area, has control over the fight but stops because the criminal says she's not planning anything *at the moment*.

Despite the fact that, ya know, she should be in jail. Even if she's not The Joker, she is a killer and a brawl anywhere else would be exceptionally dangerous.

Hopefully, Diana just gives her time to part peacefully with her date, and then takes her in. Allowing her to get away, IMO, would be just stupid.

actually, as of the All-New Atom series, she has been starting to turn over a new leaf

Didn't she try to *eat* Atom in that series? That's one odd leaf.

sure, they had some issues just like every couple, in her defence she had an alien mind controlling cancer on her back. she got better, went on a second date :)

Serial offender

Her rap sheet is very short as a matter of face. There's not many crimes she's committed that people could convict her of (and even less crimes that make sense...)

She tried to kill that crime lord lady in Blue Beetle. How many counts of attempted murder does she need before it's enough?

Yeah, but she got punished for that. Planet Australia, remember? Can't try someone twice for the same crime, and given how intensely illegal and sketchy that whole thing was and how badly it turned out, it's quite possible everybody who came home is in the clean (at least until they do something new).

Funnily enough, Giganta was trying to fulfil the contract on La Dama so she could hide and not be sent to Planet Australia. Funny how that works out, huh.

Come to think of it, that planet (assuming there's anything left of it) would be a perfect place for the Kandorians to go. Isolated, away from Earth, yellow sun, and they wouldn't have to worry about all the robots and wildlife trying to kill them, 'cause they're invulnerable. Plus mad science skillz to reprogram everything.

But did that "evil crime lady" press charges? Isn't it much more likely she covered it up?

That's not the point. She showed a willingness to commit cold blooded murder and the nature of her powers automatically make her a dangerous threat to innocent people and property.

Here Diana hs her in an isolated area, little danger of civilians being hurt. Never let an oportunity pass you by...

Man, Wondy tries to get some nookie for less than totally upright reasons, next thing you know a goddamn spy is makin' puppy dog eyes at her for not being totally 100% honest.

Then she goes and finds a super-villain to punch her frustrations out on, and it turns out she's trying to date a superhero!

Our girl just can't get away with nuthin,' that's what this is.

But isn't Giganta still a wanted criminal? The kind that are suppose to be arrested on sight?

Honestly I can't tell. If the pink is meant to be a bald head, it's either a vulture or a stork. The beak says "stork," the flight profile and lack of trailing legs says "vulture." I know of no stork or vulture with that color pattern; the closest I can get is the black stork, but that's got a black head and the tail would be white from the underside. If that's not supposed to be a bald head I've got no gorram clue. Certainly it's no kind of coastal or seabird I or whatbird.com know of that you'd see anywhere off North American shores.

At a guess it's either an oddly-colored gull for sheer visual flavor, or an inaccurate swing at a vulture and an omen of Ares. But Gail was playing dirty pool with the eagle anyway, so I'm less compelled to indulge much curiosity this time around.

As I said, it's probably meant to be a vulture. Specifically, it's probably meant to be a red-headed vulture, that being the generic image of a vulture as far as most Americans are concerned. However, it looks enough not like one - the beak in particular is really jarring if you're at all into ornithology - that it could easily be something else (it looks as much like the aforementioned black stork, for instance, as it does like our red-headed vulture, being equally off-model for both). Basically trying to get any meaning out of a bird drawn like that is like being handed a spork as your only clue for what you're getting for dinner.

I've already said that the Tom/Diana break-up makes me so very, very sad (;_;) so I'm going to say something nice now.

The art is beautiful, and I really like Giganta's costume. Since I've only been a WW fan for about a year and a half, I only have the barest idea who Giganta is, but she seems interesting and I'd like to see more of her.

Speaking of the art, the 2nd page of the preview has poor Doris experiencing one of the worst cases of camel-toe I've seen
