Yeah, but you have to take in to account who is delivering that line. That was my point in my criticism. It's kind of the same as having Doom, or Joker as we are sniping at Batman once again, critize someone with that and claim that it is the writer making claims. While taken out of context, that line can be seen as a criticism, but in context it is a group of people trying to claim moral superiority over the rest of the superpowered individuals while basically being pretty close to monsters themselves. It was, to me at least, something that was fundamentally interesting during the Ellis run of the title and something completely missed by later writers.
