The commissary wasn’t too busy as Davina headed in after reading another book on magic she’d been trying to work with for the last few days. Her stomach had started to growl, so she decided to get something to eat.
As she headed to look at the fruit, she saw someone she didn’t know overly well but knew of take a few steps away as she got closer banana peels started to rise up from the ground. “Wha-“ she started to say as she put her foot down slipping flying into the air and landing on her butt as she gathered herself her eyes looked at Helo as he went into the air.
When training broke for lunch. Helo headed straight to the commissary, making a beeline towards the fruit. He’s missed fresh fruit and vegetables so much while stuck on Galatica. And, he couldn’t help but eat a lot of it now.
As he walked, he heard a noise behind him, and quickly turned to see what had happened. Briefly seeing Davina land on the floor before he found himself in the air as well. He briefly wondered if he’d bruised his tailbone. Before, looking at Davina with concern. “Hey, you okay?”
Looking around she started to curse under her breath, yeah, landing hurt but she was more annoyed with why a bunch a banana peels started to show up out of nowhere as it was.
"Yeah, I think so," she answered as she focused her attention on Helo. "Are you okay?" She almost said he had a lot further to fall than she did but managed not to say it.
“Yeah, I’ve had worse.” Helo replied as he looked around, and finally noticed the banana peels on the ground around them, and picked one up with disgust. “Where the frak did these come from?” He didn’t think this sort of things actually happened outside of cartoons. Until today, he’d never seen an actual person slip on a banana skin. He really hoped that Sam wasn’t around to have seen it. He would never live that down.
She looked at one of the peels. “As far as I can tell, they came out of the ground,” Davina didn’t like it as she frowned as she started to poke one of them to see if they’d do anything else insane. “I don’t know exactly why anyone would do this, it’s not april first or anything, is there some weird joke day in Atlantis we don’t know about?”
Helo pushed himself to his feet, carefully. Making sure to not step on any more of the banana peels, before holding out a hand to Davina, so he could pull her to her feet. “That makes about as much sense as anything here does, I guess.”
“On a normal day I’d say anything like this coming out out of the ground being logical sounds insane, here, insanity takes on a different meaning.” Davina really sometimes wondered how she thought her life was crazy before coming here, it was even more insane here. “Well, stay safe the rest of the day okay?” She said was she smiled nodding towards the door. “I should get back to work.”
