It wasn't every day that he got to show off his powers and abilities to someone who would really understand them and not shy away from them. Granted, his friends back home at the academy had his back now and they knew exactly who he was. But he wouldn't deny that they weren't still afraid of him a little bit. And since he'd come here, Rin had kept his powers on a leash. He'd kept his tail hidden and kept his abilities hidden for the most part. But that was all about to change. Lucifer wanted to see what he could do. Rin was going to play along. Wearing still the school uniform of the True Cross Academy, which was black trousers, a white button up shirt, a black jacket and a red tie, Rin had his demon sword strapped against his back. It was hidden in its red sheath for now, but he would drag it out when they finally got to the beach. This Lucifer was nothing like his own. His Lucifer wanted to destroy the world, basically, just to see that he could, mostly. This Lucifer was quite different from all of that. He didn't know just what this old man wanted from him, but he wasn't about to say no for a chance to let his powers loose for a little bit. Lucifer was right, too. The cold weather didn't really bother him that much. It did, a little bit, but it hardly affected him like most people. He paced up and down along the beach, and after realizing that no one was nearby, Rin let his tail hang out. Kuro was at his feet, too. The black cat was a demon familiar, something that Lucifer would probably recognize as a demon. He glanced down at Kuro, who was giving him a curious look but wasn't very talkative this morning. Well, it was now or never. The old man wanted to see his blue flames, and if that didn't say something about how different the two Lucifers were, he didn't know what did. The blue flames in his world were the sign of the devil. Any Exorcist knew that. Lucifer had said they didn't need to tell anyone before they went, so Rin hoped that the old man was prepared to deal with the backlash if it came about. |
