From her spot on the couch in her living room, Alex watched as her little guest took little bites of the can of tuna in water that she had supplied. The kitten had been extremely hesitant at first. Alex couldn't really blame it, of course. For the last several hours, the kitten had been walking up and down the hallway of the building as if looking for something or someone, mewing and trying to get attention.
Was it looking for its mother? Had it just been hungry? Did this kitten even belong to someone? These questions had been bothering Alex since she'd gotten up and noticed the small orange tabby outside her door. It didn't look more than a few weeks old, but didn't look so think that she thought she'd otherwise be concerned. So the question then was how did this kitten get inside?
While chatting on the network with the Doctor, Alex had had enough and had opened the door, trying to get the kitten to come in before someone in the hallway missed it and accidently hurt it, but the kitten had been very uneasy and had only come in once the tuna had been put out for it.
Now waiting for the doctor to arrive, Alex took note that it had no collar and seemed to have some birthmarks on its back. Black dots against the orange.
