Erica listened as Keller spoke, taking in scents and sounds, little things that most humans would let go unnoticed. It was kind of fun. Like a game or hide and seek where the hiders were people's emotions. There were so many new things that were open to her now. The blonde certainly loved it, that was for sure.
"I'm still floating," she responded, running a hand through slightly damp curls. She'd gotten caught up in the rain for a moment earlier and was just now starting to dry off. As far as she was concerned, though, a little rain never hurt anyone. If you couldn't play in the rain, what kind of person were you really?
The look she gave Keller when she asked what her specialty was was a sarcastic one with a raised eyebrow. She was a werewolf. She knew Keller could scent that just as much as she could scent the other woman was something incredibly similar. There really was no question about what her specialty could be.
The little blonde really could ramble, it seemed. It made Erica smile in fond memory of one Stiles Stilinski. All the little blonde needed to be was a panic induced ball of anxiety and she could be the female version. "It's a tough choice, I'm sure. Well, not for me. I fully plan on joining up permanently. If I decide on college later, I'll do the online thing."
Settling in was something that Erica was just taking step by step. She needed to do it that way. Something told her if she tried to dive in headfirst she'd go insane pretty quickly. Erica relished the fact that she hadn't gone insane from her own life yet.
As she sat there and willingly (surprisingly) conversed with the two young women, she couldn't help but notice how the brunette always kept herself between her and the other blonde. She couldn't help but feel like she was looking at something oddly familiar. Almost like the way Boyd used to act as her own personal shield.
