who Constantine and Alec

what well Alec is working, don't know what Constantine's excuse is
status/rating on going and pending
A lot had happened in such a short time, all of which was designed to annoy Alec. The world was set up to annoy him. This was a proven fact at this point and one that had him leaning behind the bar so he could sip his cup of coffee. The arrival of Jem had started it all really. Jem arrived, then came Will, and the Shadowhunters arriving just didn't stop. Lydia was even there. By the Angel, even Tessa Gray had shown up. It was almost as if the witches had decided the best way to make Alec's life a living Hell was to just grab a random handful of people he knew, was related to, or knew of and then hurl them all at him.
Jace had finally shown up again.
The person that was making him feel the most annoyed was the young Blackthorn. A 15-year-old Shadowhunter wasn't a problem until his boyfriend had decided they needed to adopt the kid. That was a conversation he lost extremely quickly. Nothing he had said would steer Magnus away from them taking the kid under their wings. The pain in his side had shown up before opening and looked like a lost cat. Ugh, Alec couldn't just leave him outside like that so he did the only natural thing- he dragged the sullen teenager inside and let Magnus deal with him.
So far Ty had become a permanent fixture at a table near the back and Alec occasionally brought him food. How was he supposed to deal with a kid that thought sorting sugar packets was fun? Alec made a face before taking another sip of his coffee. He blinked suddenly and looked up from his coffee mug. Great, all the other help had either vanished or their shifts hadn't started yet.
Yes, the world was designed to annoy Alec. He set his mug down and moved to actually man the bar as if he was the bartender. When Magnus hired him it had been as a busboy, yet somehow, he was now acting as waiter, bartender, and as a father of sorts.
He needed a raise. No, scratch that, he needed to drink all the liquor in the cafe.
Alec picked up a towel and started to wipe down the bar as he waited for someone to make the mistake of wanting a drink. He'd be polite, kind of, and he would do his job. With Ty off in the corner, Magnus was probably going to start hovering near the kid again, and he wasn't entirely sure where the rest of his headaches were at the moment. If he was lucky he would have a nice calm afternoon without Shadowhunters throwing insults at him, bothering him, or just being themselves. He would take a customer over his family and friends at the moment.
