A snort of laughter escaped him before he managed to get the annoyed look back on his face. Run-o-the-mill mage? Somehow, he kind of doubted that the man in front of him was normal. Alec didn't say anything though and focused on the rest of the words. A tiny half-smile appeared on his face when Magnus' power was mentioned.
"Magnus is...quite magical," he couldn't help the way a faint flush filled his cheeks. He was proud of how strong his boyfriend was. Sure, Magnus was a tad eccentric, but it didn't matter. He loved the man and his annoying use of glitter. His life had been pretty much turned upside down when he met Magnus and it had annoyed him at first. Now? He was having trouble picturing a life without Magnus.
"So," he leaned a hip against the bar as he studied Constantine. "You also helping mu- humans like us?" He had almost slipped up and said mundane. The wince was a tad obvious as he glanced around to make sure Magnus hadn't witnessed that. He had honestly been doing better at not being a complete jerk and looking down on others, but sometimes old habits just started to slip out. Alec had changed quite a bit in how he viewed others, being in Salem helped, but a lot of it had to do with the fact he had gone against the Clave to be with a warlock. A Downworlder.
"Not that I am against helping anyone. It is what I did back home. Shadowhunter." Constantine probably had no idea what a Shadowhunter was, but Alec didn't rush to explain.
