The words had really just slipped out, but he had meant them since they were under the truth spell. There were moments were he didn't feel the need to blurt things out, but every now and then things just tumbled out of his mouth. Actually those moments always seemed to be when his emotions were heightened. Stupid witches. He got a faintly confused look on his face when Magnus seemed to be nervous.
An eyebrow inched upwards as the warlock finally said what he wanted to Alec to do after the truth spell ended. A faint feeling of discomfort filled him as he realized it might be awhile before he could say the words comfortably. He loved Magnus, there was no denying that, but he was also really bad at expressing that type of stuff. How long would it take him to get comfortable to say those words?
The slight smiled appeared on his face before he returned the warlock's kiss. "Alright," he said as he pulled back enough to search Magnus' face. Alec was used to living in a way that pleased his parents, how much would him trying to break free make things awkward for him and Magnus? He was free of his parents here, but old habits were hard to break. "We will talk again when the spell has ended." There were no promises of when they'd talk. He would say those words again without the spell, it might just take some time.
He gave the warlock an honest smile before finally heading towards the bathroom to get ready for work. Today was going to be interesting if the morning could be taken as a preview.
