He wasn't learning, he was just winging it actually. When it came to the warlock Alec didn't actually really think. He tended to act on impulse and just do whatever happened. Magnus was the only person he allowed himself not to think every move around. During battles he had everything planned out. When it came to Magnus? Nothing was planned out.
"No, you aren't, you'll have to deal with my boss when I am late though."
A slight growl escaped Alec when Magnus tugged at his hair. The chuckle that escaped him ended the second they were kissing again. All plans of getting ready for work were completely derailed. Besides, he could probably just ask the warlock to summon him some clothes and a toothbrush. Kissing the warlock was much more important then getting ready for work.
His fingers dug into Magnus' back as they continued to not get ready for work. He finally pulled back from the kiss and breathed in a bit loudly. "I love you," he blurted out. His cheeks instantly colored and he cursed the truth spell. That was way more blunt then he had meant to be.
