Neutral territory. Yes. That was what they needed. He cared about his family, but the moment they would step in, they would question everything about the house, about the people. Alison and Spencer were both judgy but Spencer had the tact to keep it to herself. Most times. It wasn't that he hated their bluntness. Jason could be blunt too and he would rather have someone be blunt and tell him what was up than someone who kept everything inside. He hated secrets. His life was full of them. It was something he wanted to change.
"Great, I'll see if they want to meet us somewhere on Friday night then," he smiled a little. "And work is going great. I actually like it." Jason wanted to make a difference. He wanted to do something good for all the past mistakes he had made. He just wanted to be better.
He hesitated with touching his plate because talking to Cady was more interesting. They hadn't really talked about anything that happened while he was away. He knew that Salem was odd in its own right, but those couple of months and nothing happened? He didn't buy it.
"So, did I miss anything exciting while I was gone?" He asked and grabbed his water, twisting the cap so he could take a sip. They hadn't really talked. They were too busy catching up, which he didn't mind although his therapist had advised against it. He just couldn't resist it. He missed her.
Not only was Jason working but he still had to go to therapy and also AA meetings. He often went after work, at least twice a week and his therapy sessions were in the morning on Wednesday's. He was doing everything he could by getting the outpatient care that he needed because it was hard. It was really hard. But it wasn't as hard as he thought it would be. He wasn't even tempted at the moment.
