"Pretty boring. Same as usual." I didn't kill anyone with my Satanic powers, she thought to herself. But instead of saying that aloud, she leaned over and kissed Jason on the cheek. "Thanks for getting dinner. It smells awesome."
Cady did like to party but it wasn't like she had to do that all the time. Life in Salem sort of sucked so she was drinking more often but that was because when Jason started he just didn't stop. Cady believed in moderation and that meant some partying but she also enjoyed her quiet time. She worked at the bookstore with her ex-roommate Gabriel. But while he skulked around back, Cady was talking to customers and running the register. When it was quiet in the store, which happened more often than one might think, she would read. Cady loved to read. She had rows upon rows of bookshelves in her bedroom.
She did think about what Damien had told her, what she had talked about with her father. It was possible that Jason was cured and he didn't even know it. It was possible that Damien could cure him if he wasn't cured already. Cady didn't know what had ultimately come out of her confrontation with her father.
"How was your day? How are you feeling?" Cady asked. She still hadn't told Jason everything and wasn't sure that she wanted to. He knew what she was and said he didn't care but he didn't really have the full picture of what Cady and Damien could do.
She grabbed some plates and some silverware and set them down on the table as Jason opened up the containers of food.
