Learning about multiverses was still kind of blowing Peter's mind, but he was taking all of this pretty well. Hell, he had even signed up for school today, which was something, right? He was trying to get adjusted to Salem as best he could. The problem was he did have this killer headache thanks to his senses being on overdrive. Man, Cindy had not been lying when she said his spidey sense was just going to be spazzing out at times. Currently, he was trying to remake a cartridge of his webbing. The problem was that the headache was getting worse and his hand was shaking slightly.
"Come on, man," he muttered to himself. He wasn't even really doing the webbing yet, no, he was setting up his work station in his room. The desk was covered in things he may have, uh, borrowed from the dump. People really threw away some good things! If he had asked Mr. Stark probably would have just given him stuff, but he was so used to doing this on his own he hadn't really thought to ask. His fingers spasmed as he tried to connect a wire and things went south fast. There was this bright blue spark and Peter felt himself falling backward.
Oh, hey, where had that floor come from?
Peter slammed into his bedroom floor with a rather loud thump. That had hurt. He groaned loudly as he tried to shake feeling back into his hand. "Fuuuck," he rolled over onto his side and wondered just how much noise he was making. There was a faint ringing in his ears and he wasn't sure if it was from a headache or from the fact he had kind of, sort of, maybe electrocuted himself there.
Yeah, working on things with a headache was not a great idea. Now that he thought about it, well, he probably should find a set of earbuds so he could use music as a buffer between him and all the other noises. That might help a headache. Well, that or like sixteen root beers. He wiggled his fingers in the air and sighed in relief when they started to tingle. Cool, great, he hadn't destroyed his hand. Now to try and pick himself up off the floor.
