The knock at the door had Peter rolling over onto his side as he stared at the doorknob. No movement. Well, at least Mr. Stark wasn't just bursting in! That was nice, kind of. He couldn't help blinking at the question that had been asked. Kill himself? Oh! The rather hard landing on the floor! Damn, he hadn't realized there was so little sound proofing in the house. He was going to have to be extra careful now on when it came to working on projects or, uh, sneaking out of the house.
"No, uh, what? I'm- I'm good. Not dead." There was still a slight ringing in his ears, but he was pretty sure he hadn't just yelled at Mr. Stark.
With the grace of a newborn elephant, Peter managed to pull himself off the floor. Wow, his hand was still tingling. He gave it another shake before moving to open his bedroom door partway.
"Just, uh, you know...doing stuff." Smooth, Peter, real smooth. "Didn't realize the house had questionable wiring. I do not recommend shoving forks in the sockets, Mr. Stark."
It wasn't like he was trying to hide the fact he had been setting up a workstation. No, he was just used to keeping some things secret. That was why his door was only part way open with his body used as a sort of blockade. "Sorry about the noise. It, uh, probably won't happen again? I mean it won't happen again." Without thinking he flung his hand in the air again and made a faint sound when it finally felt like blood flow was returning to normal.
"So, uh, something I could help you with? Do for you?" He awkwardly crossed his arms over his chest and regretted the action at once. The hand that had taken the brunt of the electrocution was pretty unhappy. Peter winced and kind of tried to get his arms comfortable, which had to look odd.
