Life had changed so much since she had left with the Runaways all those days ago. She had traveled time, but traveling to Salem still left her feeling confused. People who should know her didn't know her. Now Chase was here and things were going to get chaotic for awhile. She didn't know Gert, she never had, but she had watched with a feeling of sadness as words had been exchanged on the network. She had watched Molly talk with Chase as well.
Life had changed so much.
Klara sat in front of the hotel after shooting a message off to Molly. She was still figuring out the cell phone and often sent the messages to the wrong people. Technology that wasn't video games kind of confused her, but she did like those little cat icons. She made sure to add one to her message to Molly, a sort of 'I hope you cheer up' move. She didn't like seeing her friend upset, but she understood. This place made Klara upset a lot.
A tiny sigh escaped her as she yanked the hood up on her jacket. The weather was getting colder and she felt a pang of sadness. A memory of her home in Switzerland passed through her mind before she squashed it down. Yes, she missed the farm, but she wasn't sure she missed her parents anymore. The second she realized her thoughts were going a little dark she held a hand out. She coaxed the withering plant near her to grow. Leaves appeared and reached towards her as if seeking warmth.
The tiniest of smiles appeared on her face. Plants understood her, calmed her, and made her feel safe. She had potted plants all over her bedroom now and her roommate hadn't seemed bothered at all. Garnet actually seemed to like her powers so Klara didn't hide them. Not that she had ever really tried to hide them once leaving 1907. Molly would like her powers and the idea of showing them off all over again was actually a nice idea. She had been so upset when Molly hadn't remembered her, but now she was coming to understand that it just meant they got to learn to be friends all over again.
A tiny red flower appeared on the plant as Klara focused.
Tonight Molly would see much larger plants and Klara hoped no adults got mad at them. The others were always talking about how the Avengers ruined things. Well, if any of the Avengers complained then she wasn't sure what she would do. Maybe put itchy plants in their laundry? No, she wasn't a villain, but that was an amusing idea.
She heard the door open and glanced up with a look of hopefulness. Maybe that was Molly?
