Who: Faye and Stiles
What: Getting drunk and talking shit.
When: Todayish
Where: Stiles' room.
Warnings: Teenage angst.
Faye's talk with Adam seemed to smooth things over for the most part, but it wasn't like it would change anything with her and Melissa. Melissa was on an Adam high and seriously, why shouldn't she be? She was finally with a boy who wasn't a complete douche or a drug addict or all of the above, so fine - shout it from the rooftops. Faye just missed her. And she missed having a conversation that didn't bring Adam into it. She missed going out with her and drinking with her. So what if she sounded pathetic, Melissa was her bestie. Was. Was. Ugh, whatever, she wasn't going to harp on it. Except she totally was and it would eat at her because Faye wasn't the bigger person. She hated swallowing her pride, but she knew that probably in the end she would have to.
But not today.
She was just coming off of work and instead of picking up food for her and Jake, she was browsing the liquor store. She and Melissa had done this quite a few times since being here. They were witches, they could basically get away with anything and stealing wasn't a problem for Faye. She had overheard her boss at work telling someone else how Stiles wasn't coming back and if he comes to pick up his check, to tell him it's in the mail. So great, Stiles was fired because he was lame and didn't show up for work - since when was Faye the responsible one. She couldn't help it, she liked her job. She loved laughing at the idiots once they had hung up with her. And okay, so there were a few sad phone calls that got to Faye, but the stupidity of this town outweighed the angst when it came to 911 calls.
So of course with Stiles being fired, that was an excuse in itself to buy some liquor and talk shit with him, plus tell him that he didn't have a job. But he had like two others - unless he punked out on those too. Who knew. It wasn't like she was super close with him. Even if he did try to talk to her, which - she didn't know what to think of that. So she didn't.
Either way, she grabbed the tequila she wanted and stuffed it in her messenger bag and watched until the clerk was busy enough for her to slip out the door. As Faye moved toward the door, she whispered, "Lights on, lights off," and suddenly, the lights darkened the shop as she left. Distraction complete. Her walk to the hotel wasn't long at all and when she reached Stiles' door, she knocked and waited for the little punk to open up.
